Diamond Plated Products (Electrogrip)
With more than 30 years of experience, the Engis Corporation is a leader in the manufacture of electroplated superabrasive wheels and tools.
Electroplated tools are made up of a basic single layer of either Diamond or CBN particles that are bonded to the tool surface by a nickel matrix. As the particles are fully exposed, and not buried into a resin or vitrified bonding system, electroplated wheels cut cooler and faster. The electroplated technology also permits grains to be adhered to most any contour, giving excellent form holding characteristics versus grinding with conventional wheels. Electroplated wheels can be used on a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials such as fiberglass and composites.
In addition to our special and standard electroplated tool design and manufacturing, Engis offers to its customers a strip and replate service. A worn electroplated wheel, regardless of its original source of manufacture, can be brought back to new condition by stripping the old abrasive and applying fresh abrasive to the tool. When the tool form or surface has been damaged, it can be repaired and remachined before plating.
Our state of the art machine shop and plating facilities provide for the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction. Engis designs, engineers, machines, plates and inspects all of its wheels to ISO 9002 standards.

Diamond Blocks & Tools
Using Engis diamond dressing blocks is a simple and efficient way to turn a standard surface grinder into automatic form grinder when combined with power downfeed.
The dressing block can be held magnetically or mechanically on the machine table, or mounted within a part holding fixture. By setting the block at the finished ground height and adjusting the reciprocating stroke length, it will continually dress aluminum oxide and silicon carbide wheels as the part approaches its finished form and height. At the same time as the wheel is being freshly dressed, the work piece is being accurately ground to size and shape, piece-after-piece.
Straight peripheral tools are available for quick truing and dressing without vibration or chipping.

Diamond Saw Blades
Engis is leading producer of electroplated superabrasive saw blades for a wide variety of applications.
Due to the high exposure of the diamond particles, Engis Electrogrip saw blades cut cooler and more efficiently than metal bonded blades. Engis electroplated saw blades are used to cut a wide variety of abrasive materials including fiberglass, ceramics, carbon, complex composites, aircraft materials, and melamine.
Engis Electrogrip saw blades are available in a variety of diamond grits, thicknesses and blade styles ranging in diameters from 1" to 36".
